What does Smart Cart replace?
It provides a slide-out cart drawer for the online store. The drawer lets shoppers review and change the cart without first navigating to a separate cart page.
Does Smart Cart edit theme files?
Smart Cart installs through a Shopify theme app extension. The normal setup does not require the app to rewrite theme files.
Which cart modules are included?
The product includes free-shipping progress, product upsells, free gifts, tiered rewards, one-click add-ons, discount entry, display rules, design controls, and related cart workflows.
Do saved changes reach the live cart?
Saved configuration changes are designed to update the live cart without a second cart-publish action. The theme app embed still needs to be active, and storefront verification remains necessary.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes the full cart drawer, all modules, one cart configuration, and up to 50 Smart Cart-attributed orders per month.
How are paid plans measured?
Order limits refer to monthly orders attributed to Smart Cart, not every order placed in the Shopify store.
Does the app support A/B testing?
A/B testing is included from the Growth plan. Merchants can create, start, review, and stop a cart experiment; choosing the final winner remains a merchant decision.
Can I use custom CSS?
Yes. Smart Cart includes supported custom CSS controls. Keep changes scoped and test readability, focus states, checkout visibility, and small-screen behavior.
Will it work with every theme?
Theme app extensions are the supported integration path, but themes can differ in cart triggers and native behavior. Verify activation, product forms, quick add, discounts, and checkout on the actual storefront.
What does revenue attribution mean?
It is revenue connected to a recorded cart interaction under the app's attribution method. It describes connected behavior and should not be presented as causal lift by itself.
